Stop Raining Already!

Published by Jason at 11:30 am under The Weather

The weather up here has taken a drastic turn for the worst. It’s been down right yucky (technical term) the last few days. We had what was apparently the first nor’easter of the season last night and it was huge. The storm was so bad that we had to let our dog sleep on the bed with us. She’s scared of thunder and couldn’t stop shaking or pacing until she was wedged between Her and me. We didn’t sleep quite as well as usual, but I think I wouldn’t have slept at all with her walking around and whining all night either.

Thankfully, it appears that this weather pattern is clearing out for the weekend. We have friends coming up from Connecticut and would like to be able to show them around a bit. 50° and drizzle doesn’t exactly give the greatest impression of Portland. Instead, we’re forecasted for almost 60° and sunny for both tomorrow and Sunday. Yay!

Looking at the radar, it also appears that the storm is now north of Boston. That’s good. I was planning on going out tonight to catch the ALCS game (and a few beers). Let’s go Sox!
