A Real Snow Storm
After the teaser flurries a few weeks ago, we had a legitimate storm this morning. This storm apparently hit the majority of the northeast and caused several deaths. Here in Portland, we got somewhere in the neighborhood of 6″, though the early part of the storm was very wet and heavy, so it packed down a bit. This storm isn’t finished yet, either; they’re saying we could get another 3-5″ for a total accumulation of 8-14″.
Schools throughout Maine were closed today. We took the dog for a couple walks and the plows are doing a pretty good job keeping up with the storm. We’ll have to see what everything looks like tomorrow morning though, as I’d assume She won’t have another day at home. Hopefully things won’t ice up too much over night. I think I’ll have to go get my skis tuned up for the season…
