A few people have asked about my WordPress setup for this site. Here are the details:

The theme is based on SeaShore by Sadish Bala of the WordPress Theme Shop. The header image is The Portland Head Light. It is a crop of turning point by Ed Karjala.

I use a number of plugins in my setup as well. Here is a short listing:

• Akismet – Helps prevent comment spam; comes installed with WP by default, though you’ll need an account to activate it
• All-in-One SEO Pack – Helps with SEO items such as meta tags
• Browse Happy sidebar widget – visit the site with IE and you’ll see a little banner recommending a better browser experience
• Feedburner Feedsmith – redirects all requests for content syndication to my Feedburner feed
• Get Recent Comments – sidebar widget to display recent post comments
• Google Analyticator – Add the Google Analytics script as painlessly as possible
• Google XML Sitemaps – automates generation of sitemaps.xml, which aids Google’s crawlers in indexing your site
• Photo Sidebar Widget – displays that fun little Flickr preview on the right hand side of this site
• WP Contact Form – makes creation of a “Contact the Author” page a snap
